What about blood pressure specifically?

This is where the more recent evidence is more consistent. Diastolic blood pressure did not improve significantly overall, though it did in the subgroup with type 2 diabetes specifically. Does it help people who already have high cardiovascular risk?

Earlier, smaller data specific to at-risk populations exists but is less conclusive than the newer general lipid analysis.
